About

I learned the hard way, the really hard way.  Let me back up, I spent a lot of years in college earning a degree I will never use because everyone told me I should.  Well, that MBA sure looks pretty hanging on the wall in my office, but it hasn’t earned me a single dollar.

I never knew what I wanted to do with my life, not until I was 34 years old, sitting on an operating table waiting for my daughter to make her appearance.  I knew then that being a mom was what I was supposed to do, and it has been the best thing I have ever done with my life.  Truly.

However, even people who are content with their position in life need a little something extra sometimes.  I didn’t know what it was I needed, and I was getting pretty cranky looking for it.  One day, I opened my laptop and started typing a story I thought would go nowhere, but it ended up being a full-length novel.  My daughter is a kindergartener now, and I am happy as a clam writing every free moment I get.

So, that’s why I write.  After my family, it’s my one true love.  Why the blog?  Well, I think a lot.  I mean, a lot.  And those thoughts have to go somewhere or they end up in my books, which is maybe not the best place to ramble on about culinary misadventures, child tantrums, the woes of being an author, and other musings.

I hope you enjoy my ramblings, and I encourage you to contact me if you want to have a discussion, leave a suggestion, or just ramble yourself!
